#hotellanding
First off - I know its been 5 months since my last blog post. I've just been SO busy. Like... for cereal.
This year my husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. When I tell people that - they typically respond with "HOW OLD ARE YOU?". Yes yes, I know I look like i'm 20, but I did get married at 21 and we're both now 26. SUPER old I tell ya.
Summer of 2017 has been one of the busiest summers we've experienced, so to be honest we didn't have anything planned for this anniversary. We're typically like that tho. I can be equally planned out as well as equally spontaneous. #infjproblems
So I thought it was perfect how Hotel Landing reached out to me a few days prior and asked if I wanted to stay at their newly opened hotel. YES AND YES.
Hotel Landing is a beautiful hotel in downtown Wayzata just within walking distance of all the cute shops and Lake Minnetonka. After checking in - we decided to check out our hotel room before dinner.
The rooms are QUITE spacious as well as comfy. They had modern furniture that gave it a cool vibe, but there was a warmth to it that you want in every hotel.
After we checked out our cool hotel room, we headed to our anniversary dinner at Nine Twenty FIve which is actually apart of Hotel Landing.
This of course was my favorite part of the evening.
Whenever you go to a restaurant that serves complimentary bread - they're already winning in my book! We MAY or MAY NOT have had 3 baskets of bread before our dishes actually came out...........What?! They just kept serving it to us! lol.
They serve the bread with pesto, olive oil and balsamic vinegar and butter! DELISH.
To start off our evening we decided to get some drinks and went with the recommended dish of mussels.
These were smoked to perfection, drenched with the most flavorful sauce that was perfectly paired with grapefruit. So thankful they gave us bread to finish off EVERY. LAST. BIT.
Next up for our main course : we went with the Alaskan Halibut and the Short Rib Tagliatelle. Both recommended to us, BOTH were TO DIE FORRRR.
Since this dinner was carb heaven, we literally felt SO stuffed from all of it that we decided to opt out of dessert (I know who am I right?) and just get something afterwards. We ended up going to see "The Hitman's Body Guard" with Ryan Renolds and Samual L. Jackson after dinner (which was HILAR) and I ended up getting some mini donuts at the theater. Fun fact: Plymouth Mann has mini donuts!
The evening ended perfectly and we both ended up crashing. I actually slept like a log!
The next morning we checked out and decided to have brunch at Ninetwentyfive because WHY NOT? I honestly don't know what I like better - dinner or brunch? BOTH had incredible menus! I'm kinda bummed tho because I just documented my breakfast on insta-stories and forgot to ACTUALLY take pictures - but believe me when I say - it was SUPER good.
Overall our anniversary evening was so memorable and I am SO thankful for the staff at Hotel Landing and Ninetwentyfive for hosting us and giving us SUCH a great evening. Thank you for your generosity and thinking of me! We would love to come back and stay again. :)
Thanks again for taking the time to read! Hopefully it wont be another 5 months till the next blog! :)
